Do I need to call Miss Dig before stump grinding or tree work?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Miss Dig must be contacted before any stump grinding, tree removal, or land‑clearing work can begin. This is required to ensure all underground utilities are properly marked and the job can be completed safely.  You have two options:  Option 1 — The Homeowner Calls Miss Dig You can submit the request yourself by contacting Miss Dig 811. They will schedule the utility marking and notify you when the property is cleared for work.  Option 2 — We Call Miss Dig for You If you prefer, we can handle the Miss Dig request on your behalf. Just let us know, and we’ll take care of the entire process.  Important: No work can begin until Miss Dig has completed the marking and given the all‑clear. This protects your property, your utilities, and our crew.
